Geocache Description:

A replacement for the popular Northern Panorama vandalised some time ago.

Try to ensure you visit this cache on a clear day with a breeze to blow away the smog from the city for the best vista.

The view from the shoulder of Burkes Hill has a wonderful panoramic view of what we believe is the second largest city in the world by area, Greater Melbourne. On a really good day you will be able to see the sails of the yachts on Port Phillip Bay.

Better still, return at night for a fabulous view of the city lights from our favourite vantage point that is quiet, easily accessible and has minimal light pollution for maximum magical sparkle. On really clear nights you will make out the sweep of lights around the bay toward The Heads.

PLEASE, DO NOT attempt to U turn at the cache location but continue over the hill to utilize a much safer, unofficial turning circle near Chewinprickles ‘pencil pinus’.
