Geocache Description:

Welcome to the White Trail in Oak Mountain State Park. The park charges you $3 to enjoy the fun.  The cache is  NOT at the posted coordinates; however, that locaiton is important to you since you need the two-digit number from the sign post to find the cache.

To find the cache, do the following:

For the North Coordinate, add the two digit sign number to the last three digits of the North Coordinate. Now subtract 8. Easy peazy, right? That is AAA.
For the West Coordinate, subtract the two digit sign number from the last three digits of the West Coordinate. Now add 16 to that number. You have BBB.

The cache is at 33 20.AAA 086 42.BBB.

The White Trail, or the Shackleford Point Trail, is 6.4 miles long (one way). You must turn around and come back the way you came or pick up a connector trail to go a different way. It begins at the North Trailhead and follows a path similiar to the Blue Trail but at a lower elevation. The White Trail does climb to the highest point in the park, which is known as Shackleford Point at an elevation of 1,260 feet. The White Trail ends at the Peavine Falls parking lot.

You seek a small, round lock and lock. Please consider adding some swag. .

The North Trailhead lot is across the paved road from here: N 33° 21.433 W 086° 42.292.
You can also park in the Cabin area to access the White trail here: N 33° 21.007 W 086° 43.148.
If you want to do the thru hike, the Peavine Falls Lot is here: N 33° 18.155 W 086° 45.679.
