Geocache Description:

A traditional cache hidden as part of the 9th Annual Vancouver Island Hide-&-Go Cache - HAG 9.

This is part of a series of 12 caches, one for each animal associated with the Lunar (Chinese) Zodiac

This cache is hidden very near a trail in East Sooke Park. The other 11 caches in the series are also near this trail, but well spread out from the parking area near the park boundary all the way to the coast. The Rat won the race, so he is located inside the large final cache!

After you find this cache, keep a note of the one digit number at the top of the log to help find the final (puzzle) cache for the Year of the Rat.

After signing the logbook, please close the cache container carefully to keep the moisture out, but not too tight! Then re-hide as found so no muggles can spot it by accident.
