Geocache Description:

Thisis the original virtual placed by Arcosanti. PT 20-43 is a Corps of Engineers benchmark located in Chalco Hills and a good introduction to benchmarking.

Hidden near this benchmark is an oversized ammo can filled with things for adults, kids, and future benchmarkers of all ages.

This is near one of the lesser known entrances to the park, completely on the other side of the lake and one exit closer to Lincoln on the I-80. You can get here from any of the regular parking areas if you want a nice walk or hunt for the secret entrance.

No bushwacking is required. If you come from the nearby entrance simply walk past the trees. It's a lot easier than going through them.

There's a couple interesting maps of the benchmarks in Lincoln and Omaha (below). Despite the occasional hunt and wondering where the closest benchmarks were I had never really mapped them out before. It's kind of neat.
