Join Washington area geocachers every First Wednesday of each month at ~7:00pm. We'll talk about Geocaching, upcoming hikes and outings, trade bugs & coins and share stories from the field. For year two (2013) of the original First Wednesday Café and Crêpes by bernsa, the event will rotate hosts and locations.
We plan to continue to meet monthly in the Rockville/Bethesda/Silver Spring area. If you can't find next month's event, check the previous event and we'll try to post a note with a link to the next month. In the event the first Wednesday falls near a major holiday when people tend to be out of town, we may move the event to the 2nd week.
All are welcome to this family friendly event. Please feel free to attend any and all of the gatherings this year. It doesn't matter if you have found 50, 1000 or even 0 geocaches, we typically have attendees of all experience levels. We love to see people who are new to geocaching and looking to further explore their new-found hobby. We also enjoy meeting out-of-town geocachers who happen to be in the area, don't feel like this is locals only. If you're in town visting family or on business, please join us!
Our February meeting will be on Wednesday the 6th at Fuddruckers in Rockville: 1592A Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852 - (301) 468-3501. Fuddruckers is conveniently located next to the Twinbrook Metro Station (Red Line). If burgers don't fit your dietary needs, they offer a vegetarian burger as well as chicken, fish and salads.
We'll typically try to arrive early and push together a few tables to accommodate everyone. At least for this event hosted by Mortards, look for the big yellow caching duck and the caching otter.
