One of several driveby caches to celebrate the art of foraging apples in North Canterbury
Drive down the rural roads in and around Scargill Valley and you will see many roadside apple trees laden with ripening fruit Febuary / March each year. These apples make the most delicious spiced apple muffins.
Watch where you park your car on this rural road. The terrain can also be disceptive around the cache. Look where you put your feet and watch your head. There are many small saplings grouped here. So many to choose from. You may have to look a while for the right one.
