Watch For Heffalumps! - HAG9 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

The A-Team: I ventured into the Hundred Acre Wood today, and sadly discovered that some woozles have taken off with Pooh's hunny pot. Oh, bother.

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden for the 9th Annual Vancouver Island Hide-&-Go (or HAG).

This cache is hidden in SUPER NATURAL Metchosin Wilderness Park, also known as Crown Land Section 25 Metchosin District. More important, though, is that it's locally known as the 100 Acre Wood. While I was walking through the 100 Acre Wood recently, I realized there weren't any Winnie-the-Pooh themed caches in here, so I've fixed that by placing this one.

Be careful in here. You may encounter large animals like cougars or bears, but what you really need to worry about are the fierce heffalumps. Nobody has ever been able to capture a heffalump, so not much is known about them, but most descriptions seem to suggest that they look somewhat like an elephant.

If you want to learn more about heffalumps, or want to capture one in the name of science, you can try following their tracks in the mud. I've heard that they may like honey, so I've left a large pot of it at GZ.

Also, if you have some time to spare, be sure to visit the nearby bridge to play Poohsticks. All you need to play Poohsticks are two people and two sticks. Both people drop their sticks into the stream above the bridge, and the one whose stick appears on the other side first is the winner. If you do play, feel free to mention who won in your log.
