To walk here you can start at the trailhead/parking area at N44 46.152 W063 39.035 and take the crushed gravel main path to the side trail at N44 46.243 W063 39.033. Follow the side trail and make your way to an intersection that is easily overlooked (N44 46.527 W063 38.848). This is a spot you can walk right by without noticing. This is where you need to turn to get onto the peninsula trail. Soon you will arrive at the lake and you will see the island. If you choose to walk across the ice to the island be sure to check on the ice thickness. You can check the hotline at 490-3577. The cache is a small jar with plastic top totally camo taped. Bring a writing device to sign the log : )
