Geocache Description:

This is a challenge cache. The posted coordinates will lead you to a regular size ammo can hidden in Cheesequake State Park. To complete the challenge portion of this cache simply find 4 physical caches in one day. An Old cache (over 10 years old), a New cache (published in the last week), Borrowed (a cache that has been adopted by another player), and a Blue cache (the word "blue" must be in the title).

Many years ago a local rock station would play a set of songs that followed that old saying you hear on wedding days. Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue. The music set would consisted of an old song, a new song, a cover song and a blues song, I thought the concept would be fun for geocaches.
Can you find an Old Cache, New Cache, Adopted Cache and Blue Cache in one day?

Here are the guidelines.

  • To complete the challenge find four (4) qualifying caches in one day
    - An old cache: The cache was hidden over 10 years ago.
    - A new cache: The cache was have been published in the last week (7 days)
    - A "borrowed" cache: A cache that has been adopted and maintained by another player.
    - A Blue cache: The word "blue" must be in the title or cache name.
  • Only physical caches count (Traditional, Multis, Puzzles, Letterbox). Events, EarthCaches and Virtual Caches do not count. Wherigo Caches with logbooks are acceptable.
  • This physical cache is a ammo-box hidden at the posted coordinates.
    - Please complete the challenge prior to finding and logging this cache on-line.
  • Previous finds do count, but all four caches need to have been found on the same day and meet the "Old, New, Borrow, Blue Challenge" guidelines at the time you found them.
  • You need to find 4 different caches. You can not use the same cache for 2 or more categories (for example, a Cache called "Blue" that was placed in 2001 and adopted to another player, can only count as 1 category)
  • This cache does not count to one of your 4 qualifying finds.

I don't want to play cache cop, but I will be the judge and jury on the legitimacy of your find. There are several ways you can submit your qualifying caches.
1. Create a Bookmark list of the caches found and note the date you found them,
2. detail the qualifying caches along with the date you completed the challenge as either a note or found log,
3. upload a screen capture of the 4 logged caches from your found caches page with your found log or note.
Any questions, concerns or clarifications, please don't hesitate to contact me.

While it's just 4 caches you need to find, it will require some planning. With the aid of a third party waypoint tool and several hours on a Saturday afternoon, I had this completed without a problem. See my log not below.  I'm sure there will be bookmarks created of qualifing caches, so feel free to browse those.

Have fun and enjoy your adventure on your big day!
