Geocache Description:

This cache of located within the metal fence around the Fish Out Of Water. The container is a small film canister, with a magnetic on the bottom. You will need something metallic to retrieve. Please be careful replacing it.

The fish out of water was contructed by an artist and with the help of Newry and Mourne Council. The sculpure is located on the bank of the Newry Canal. Today the canal is used merely for drainage. There have been a number of unsuccessful attempts to attract funds to re-open the navigation. The entire stretch has been acquired by the four local councils and they have set up a committee to develop the facility.
