It's back! Or should we say, they mostly ALL are!
The State of Nevada has started replacing markers, and this one is back up! They even managed to get a little "Nevada Blue" paint into the hiding place. The workers had to have seen the cache when they replaced the monument, and were good sports and put it back after the work was done. Yay!
We found the original State Highway Marker at this spot, placed by NexusWanderer, back in '08 - then sometime in May of 2010 the State of Nevada hired a contractor to pull out SHM's to repaint and refurbish, and it went missing. A few dozen other markers also suffered this fate.
The contractor has since gone out of business and efforts to find the missing SHMs have been fruitless.
