Isolated between Mt Martha and Arthur’s Seat lays the peaceful Safety Beach. This beach was once renowned for the many sharks that were attracted to the abattoir that fed into the water, therefore giving it its name of Shark Bay. Fortunately the abattoir closed, the sharks left and it was given its current name of Safety Beach. It is now a summer hotspot and a fantastic place for swimming, sailing, boating and simply a great day at the beach.
But unknown to most people lays a walk on the wild side, a hidden geocache, and a great excuse to come down to the beach. That of course is this geocache; the geocache lies near the small Sheepwash Creek and offers a fun challenge to find.
The cache is a small tin; parking is available next to Sheepwash Creek, very close to the geocache. The geocache is somewhat hard to get to so be careful.
I hope you can handle the wild side. BYO Pen
