Geocache Description:

Ten windmills

The wind farm Heiderscheid-Kehmen started with three E-40 (500kw) windmills in 1998. In 2006 seven E-66 (1800kw) windmills were built and the site became the most powerful wind farm in Luxembourg.

To find the stash, you have to accomplish the following tasks:
At the above coordinates you can see all the generators, the three small ones and the seven big ones.
  • At the E-40 windmill, you have to count the bolts that are fixing the mast to its concrete base. The number of bolts gives you A.
  • By car, bike or on foot, you have to find the E-66 windmill that has a metal plate on its base on which is written the serial number W-01284-001. The last number written on the door of the windmill gives you B.    (HDD-0?)
  • You continue your visit to the windmills and you try to find HDD-06.                                                                                                                             The last number on the metal plate on the concrete base gives you C.(W-01284-00?)
  • To finish your search, you go to B0D-04 and again the last number on the metal plate on the concrete base gives you D. (W-01284-00?)

Now you can calculate the final coordinates:
North 49° (A+B+C+D-1). (AxBxC)-12
East006° 0(A/B – 3xC). (Ax(C+D)) – 2xB

All the E-66 windmills have solid paths that lead to them, so please don’t cross the fields.
When the weather is really foggy, you should do another cache.
Enjoy the place!
