Geocache Description:

A 5 minute early morning flash mob event.  This is the kickoff event for what will be an entire day of TXGA Events in the Austin area.

On this date in 1942, Congress pushed ahead the standard time by 1 hour in a plan called “War Time”, thus imposing Daylight Savings Time on the U.S.  To recognize this piece of legislation that has continued with us into the 21st Century, the Texas Geocaching Association is organizing a flash mob.

According to timeanddate.com, sunrise is at 7:16 AM so we will meet under the clock at 7:15 to sign the log and sing “You Are My Sunshine”.  After that, we will disperse and head to a TXGA Breakfast Event. For each of the 4 events you attend today you will receive a ticket into the final drawing for a TXGA Premium Membership & Prize Pack!
