Would you like some help keeping your New Year's Resolution to get out and get some exercise? Are you tired of LPC's? Then this one is for you!
For the past three years we have attended an event called Hike Like a Cacher that is hosted by pinestrail at Hoeft State Park. He does a wonderful job of hiding caches in a nature area (Vogler Center) near Rogers City and we have a great time hiking the trails and finding the caches. Last year mboensch found a cache that had been archived the previous year. We lugged it back to the State Park and tried to return it to pinestrail - he told us that we found it so it was ours. Mboensch did not have a spot near him where he could put this container so he gave it to us. We hiked at Peace Park today and found a great spot for this cache - it's still loaded with the contents it had when we found it, including the logbook so you'll have to flip through a few pages before you're able to sign it. This park is huge so you may want to bring a container with you and place a cache while you're out there! Happy Hiking!
