While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed, and it is time to have it listed once again it will be no problem as long as it still meets the guidelines. Just drop me a note( by email at Mongo@geocachingadmin.com) and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link of your cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and I am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Mongo

Geocache Description:

Kearney has many wonderful paved trails. This series is along a 4 mile loop on the south side of town. I hope this long walk will help you all with some of those challenges that some of my wonderful geo friends have created.

Permission granted by Eric Marshall, Kearney Parks & Rec.

This little town puts on one heck of a rodeo in the summer.  And is you have down the rest of this loop, you have seen the railroad.  It used to have over 60 trains a day but now there is only 1 that comes a couple of times a week.

In case you missed the note about the geocaches around here that are Jesse James themed on the G one...

If you have time, make sure to head up to the Jesse James park to check it out... one of my all time favorite puzzle caches is a wonderful multi up there.  Try to solve GCWG5D before coming to Kearney so you can go grab it while you are here.

Also head on out to the Jesse James farm so you can pick up the virtuals out there. GC1939 & solve GC1942 so you can grab the quick multi while you are in town.
