Another BCDR Bridge.
The first after leaving Newtownards.
This bridge is still standing but is no longer used, the road was diverted past it, as opposed to over it, quite a few years ago.
Cosequently, the bridge has all but disappeared into the all conquering Ivy.
This was one of those bridges with quite a "Hump" on it and was Great Fun/Extremely Dangerous depending on your driving ability and experience.
I must confess as a young Biker I had some very scary/fun moments on it!!
The Cache is a Micro (Again!) and shouldn't give you much to think about, however, this is a busy road and the Cache is at the side of it near to the bridge, please exercise EXTREME caution. There is a wide (ish) grass verge at GZ, but you can't be too carefull!!!
Just a log.
For a great history lesson on the Belfast and County Down Railway, visit http://www.downrail.co.uk/history/index.htm
As noted by the early finders.
This is a busy road. Please exercise EXTREME caution!!
I REPEAT......E.X.T.R.E.M.E. CAUTION!!!!
This probably isn't one for the nippers..........If you must bring them, keep them on a string!!
