This comedy was released in 2002 and starred Colin Hanks and Jack Black. It is about a yong man living in Orange County, CA who likes nothing more than to surf, drink and party. It all changes when his friend is killed surfing. He finds a novel on the beach and decides that he wants to become a writer. The rest of the movie deals with him trying to get into Stanford University.
