This movie was released in 1978, it was directed by Richard Donner. It starred Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Christopher Reeve, Jackie Cooper, Margot Kidder and Marc McClure. It was based on the DC comic book of the same name. The film depicts the beginning of Superman, including his infancy on Krypton and his early years in Smallville.
