UPDATE:3-7-17 cache was replaced and the new coordinates are 38 27.637N 99 53.407W it had to be moved due to trees being trimmed. Still an ammo box UPDATE: CACHE WAS REPLACED ON SEPT. 25, 2016 some new swag in new cache!! It's a medium size green ammo box. I'll add more in December. The cache that was there was stolen so I am not sure if there were any travel bugs in it or not.
In this quaint little town where my Dad and sister were both born, they have a gathering every 5 years, called Ol’ Settlers Reunion. Everyone that has ever lived there or visited comes back for the festivities. It’s a lot of fun and takes place the first weekend of June; next one will be in 2015. We placed this cache in 2005 and had lots of visitors. Unfortunately, two visitors (or some gardeners) decided to take off with the entire thing. Here's hoping this one can stay put for a while. It's a very quiet place and depending on what time of year you visit, its surround by golden wheat fields, or if in the winter, surrounded by plains of snow. This cache is in small AMMO box full of SWAG! The AMMO box is green in color so it is camouflaged quite well.
If you come to visit during Memorial Day, there are lots of visitors and lots of flags! If you come after it has snowed, its most likely still obtainable, depending on how the last person put it back. Due to the weather factor, it is advised that you replace the cache in the same spot that you found it.
This cache is located in a very special place, dear to our hearts. "Funk" family is very close by. It is located on the NE side of town. The cache can easily be found without entering the location but just a little bit.
Please stay on dirt road when visiting. Respect is of the utmost importance.
