Westwardho!: Sadly I will have to let this one go, as not only is the final pot/cache missing but the vital engraved first stage has gone as well, looks like somebody doesn’t want it here.

Honey Well
Hidden away in the side streets of Kingsteignton is this well which is well known for it's healing properties.
It is situated in a small alcove off the path and runs out of a wall into a trough, there are some steps down into the trough. Sadly it has been neglected and currently has some weed and brambles nearby. A local resident told me that in the past it was in pristine condition and some locals regularly drank the water.
In the nearby churchyard there is another well called Fairwater well, this comes from a spring in the hills which was channelled through the village and churchyard in the 12th century to supply some nearby mills.
Legend has it that when this well dried up a Ram was sacrificed and the stream returned to full flow. The Kingsteignton Ram Roasting Fair owes it's existence to this tale.
The cache...parking is limited but you might be lucky and find some near the church, if not you could always walk in from the nearby retail parks.
The headline co-ords will take you to the well and the necessary info, then a short walk to final.
