We were out hiking on a drizzly winter day and we decided that this was a nice spot for a cache and a view of the pond.
You are looking for a 2-liter preform container hidden about 30 feet up from the dirt road.
This road is closed in the winter, but it is open the other times of the year so you could park not too far away. The pond seems to be a popular fishing spot. There is quite a trail system here in the Shenipsit Forest, both blue-blazed and unblazed.
This is also an active hunting area. If you decide to go further than the road, I advise wearing your blaze orange gear during hunting season.
