Assim começam muitas das histórias de encantar, nas quais o Bem vence sempre o Mal e cujos protagonistas vivem felizes para sempre.
Assim se inicia a famosa Cinderela, que não escapa ao tão desejado final feliz. O que muitos não sabem é que:
- Há muito muito tempo, nesta ilha, viveu, de facto, um Príncipe que, num baile, conheceu e se apaixonou por uma bela e misteriosa donzela, com quem dançou até à primeira das doze badaladas da meia-noite;
- Houve, realmente, uma fuga precipitada da qual resultou a perda de um lindo sapatinho de cristal;
- Foi, com efeito, levada a cabo uma busca minuciosa casa a casa, pé a pé;
- Contrariamente ao que se diz, a dama que suscitou tão grande busca nunca foi, no entanto, encontrada.
Após tão infrutífera demanda, o Príncipe passou a deambular por montes e vales, sempre acompanhado de um misterioso embrulho.
Um certo dia, durante uma das suas digressões, o infante perdeu o objeto secreto, morrendo de desgosto pouco tempo depois.
Ainda hoje, em dias de nevoeiro, é possível ver o espírito do Príncipe a vaguear por uma determinada zona da ilha. Diz-se que apenas o deixará de fazer quando alguém encontrar o embrulho extraviado e lhe restituir, assim, o tão almejado descanso.

Thus start many fairytales, in which Good always beats Evil and whose characters live happily ever after.
Thus also begins the well-known Cinderella story with a happy ending. What most don’t suspect is that:
- A long time ago, on this very island, lived, in fact, a Prince who, at a ball, met and fell in love with a beautiful and mysterious damsel, whom he danced with until the clock stroke the first of the twelve midnight strikes;
- There was, effectively, a sudden escape, during which a glass slipper was lost;
- There was, definitely, a meticulous search, house by house, foot by foot;
- Contrarily to what is usually told, the damsel that originated such a quest was never found.
After such a fruitless search, the Prince began to wander through hills and valleys, carrying a mysterious package the whole time.
One day, during one of his walks, he lost the secret object and died of grief some time after. Nowadays, on foggy days, the prince’s spirit can still be seen wandering on a specific part of the island. It is believed that he will only rest in peace when someone finds his lost package for him.
