Geocache Description:

Cache and dash on a fabulous flood plain

Where this cache is hidden, the river should be 380m away. On the day we hid it, it was more like 3.8m away. Its about 2m higher than the flooding so hopefully it will be ok.

There are floods in varying degrees fairly regularly. The silts get deposited and the grazing in the summer is superb. This is a twitcher's heaven with regular sightings of large flocks of birds gathering and migratory birds stopping off. The scenery is stunning whether in sunshine, mist or rain. It is ever changing for those who use the causeway to get across the Avon and this flood plain.

There is a small amount of parking very close by but it is sometimes best that you do this cache whilst travelling West. Although the farmer tries to keep the undergrowth clear to allow a line of sight, it could have become overgrown.

You are close to the old toll house which is now a private home so keep an eye out for muggles. You might have to pretend to be a twitcher!

Have a look at the attached photo. Its not from the cache location but the cache location is in the photo.
