Geocache Description:

Pirates Akyaka Trail 11.

This cache is part of the Pirates trail which links our other caches together all the way back to Pirates Trail 1 in the Ancient city of Kaunos at the South end of the lake Koycegiz. GC3A7FR.

Akyaka has one of the best picnic grounds surrounded by pine forests, by the sea where you can watch glorious sunsets, make your own barbecue or have a snack in the cafe. Various modest tea-houses offer fresh tea, toasts and peaceful hours by the sea or in the town center. Fresh fish is best served here, all year round in all restaurants by the Azmak River.
Akyaka.
Old Muğla-Marmaris road in its section crossing the Plain of Gökova, homonymous with and located in the outlying waters of the Gulf of Gökova. Eucalyptus trees bordering the road were planted in 1936 to dry marshlands and help combat malaria..
