A native of Elk Grove, I grew up in scouting with my Dad at my side as my cub and scoutmaster eventually reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in 1994. After his unexpected passing in 2000 I have come to realize that many of my fondest memories of him and my childhood in general were at scouting events.
Events such as the pinewood and klondike derbies, Camporees, National Jamborees and other exciting adventures... I now have three children of my own, my oldest son being a tiger cub, so life has come full circle for me.
He loves to go geocaching with Dad. So I figured what better way to honor our hobby and love of scouting than to place a cache right at the source of it all! I recently became a registered merit badge counselor for the new geocaching merit badge for boy scouts as well.
This cache was created with much thought and time by my sons and I in our workshop. We hope you enjoy finding it as much as we enjoyed building it together.
