This cache will bring you to what remains of the Van Cortlandt Station on the Putnam Division of the New York Central Railroad (Old Put). This railroad ran passenger service until 1958 and freight trains for another few years after that before being abandoned. Most of the line is now a rail trail.
The supports of the station platform roof are still standing and there are some interesting bridges also.
