Thought this area needed some geocaches! Lake Mathews is a beautiful area to live or visit. This should be an easy find.
My parents still live in the general vicinity and every time I visit them, I always hunt around Lake Mathews for nearby caches. More are popping up, but really - we need more! My mom thinks geocaching is cool, she just isn't very mobile. Still, I spotted this area on a recent visit and thought hmmm...time for a cache - I brought mom along to direct the hide. lol Please be sure to find some other caches while visiting Lake Mathews and have fun!
Park along the road - off onto the shoulder if you can. It's not a super busy road, but still better to be safe. This is a rural version of a park and grab - well almost.
Try to hide the cache back the way you found it. It is in a Knotts Berry Farm cookie tin. Also be very aware that this is still an arid area with lots of creatures you should watch out for. Especially snakes - please be careful.
