This coastal trail has been a favorite of ours ever since we first encountered it years ago. Views of the rocky shoreline, sea birds and mammals, wildflowers and waves are plentiful. There is access to several small beaches and tidepools.
The trail is somewhat level, but depending on your approach route there may be a few stairways and may have muddy spots after wet weather. Beware that some parts of the trail are bordered by poison oak. We prefer this trail in the winter when the PO is dormant.
To find the final location, visit and read the sign about shells at the posted coordinates. Add the number of letters in the first line of text on the sign (not the title or subtitle) to the North coordinates. Then add the number of letters in the last word on the sign (bottom right corner, *not* followed by a period) to the West coordinates.
Congratulations to PDFrogs for their quick FTF!
