[ITA] Il 29 aprile 1945 l'ultima strage nazista in Italia si consumava in località Cacciatora di Castello di Godego.
Qui un'ottantina di cittadini inermi, rastrellati dalle truppe naziste in ritirata in alcuni comuni del padovano, furono uccisi barbaramente, a conclusione di un lungo calvario durato un’intera giornata tra Sant’Anna Morosina e Castello di Godego. Il totale dei Caduti fu di 133 civili, tra quanti trovarono la morte strada facendo e quanti furono barbaramente trucidati alla fine del cammino.
La stele monumentale che ricorda l'eccidio è stata recentemente riposizionata in un nuovo spazio bordato da un filare di cipressi.
[ENG] On 29 April 1945, the last Nazi massacre in Italy was consumed at the Cacciatora, near the town of Castello di Godego.
Here eighty unarmed citizens, rounded up by Nazi troops in retreat in the nearby area, were brutally killed at the end of a long ordeal lasted a whole day between Sant'Anna Morosina and Castello di Godego. The final number of civilians killed was 133, including those who were killed along the way and those who were brutally murdered here at the end of the journey.
The monument commemorating the massacre was recently relocated to a new space bordered by a row of cypress trees.
