 Semaforo Nuovo
è un edificio dismesso della Marina Militare Italiana. Quest’ultima con una rete di stazioni semaforiche distribuite lungo le coste, assicurava la sorveglianza del mare, l’avvistamento e il riconoscimento delle navi, le comunicazioni nave-terra, nonché le osservazioni meteorologiche. A partire dal 1960 e con l'avanzamento tecnologico la rete dei Semafori italiani è stata progressivamente smantellata e le varie funzioni che svolgeva sono state affidate ad altri enti come per esempio le Capitanerie di Porto e l'Aeronautica militare.
Semaforo Nuovo in passato era stato costruito in sostituzione al Semaforo Vecchio, situato alla massima quota del promontorio a 610 m s.l.m. ritenuto non più idoneo per lo scopo in virtù delle frequenti nebbie che interessano la sommità del Monte Portofino. Successivamente la struttura è passata in gestione al Corpo Forestale dello Stato che ha provveduto alla ristrutturazione dei due edifici negli anni 1994/95.
Semaforo Nuovo è raggiungibile da varie località come per esempio Camogli, Ruta, San Rocco, Portofino Vetta, Nozarego, Paraggi e Portofino attraverso gli itinerari escursionistici del Parco di Portofino
Approcio più veloce: Da Portofino Vetta a Gaixella dove troverete le indicazioni per il Semaforo Nuovo, in tutto 1 ora circa. In alternativa a Gaixella potete anche salire al semaforo Vecchio e poi da lì a quello Nuovo, 1,5 ore in tutto max.
Il Cache: E' un contenitore di plastica small che troverai facilmente se guardi la foto spoiler.
Attrezzatura: Scarpe da trekking, acqua da bere.
Godetevi la splendida vista sul Golfo del Tigullio dal punto panoramico posto sul retro del semaforo; sono presenti tavoli pic-nic.
Da qui potete proseguire per Pietre Strette (ca 35 min) e successivamente rientrare a Portofino Vetta passando da Gaixella o scendere verso San Fruttuoso.
 Semaforo Nuovo
is an abandoned building of the Italian Navy which was part of a network of semaphore stations distributed along the coast, which assured the surveillance of the sea, spotting and recognition of ship, ship-to-ground communications, and meteorological observations. Since 1960 and with the technological advancement the network of Italian semaphores was gradually dismantled and the various functions passed to other agencies such as the Coast Guard and the Air Force.
Semaforo Nuovo (New Semaphore) in the past had been built to replace the Semaforo Vecchio (old semaphore), located at 610 m above sea level at the peak of promontory which was no longer considered suitable for this purpose because of the frequent fogs that affect the summit of Mount Portofino. Subsequently, the structure is passed under management at the State Forestry Corps who made the restoration of the two buildings in the years 1994/95.
Semaforo Nuovo can be reached from various places such as Camogli, Ruta, San Rocco, Portofino Vetta, Nozarego, Paraggi and Portofino through the hiking trail of Parco di Portofino.
direct approach: From Portofino Vetta to Gaixella where you will see signs for Semaforo Nuovo, around 1 hour. As an alternative from Gaixella you may also go to Semaforo Vecchio and then from there to the Semaforo Nuovo, around 1.5 hours max.
The cache: Is small plastic container that you will easily find if you look at the spoiler.
Equipment: Hiking shoes, drinking water.
Enjoy the beautiful views of the Gulf of Tigullio from the vantage point at the back of the house and have a break using the nearby picnic tables.
From here you may go on to Pietre Strette (about 35 min) and then get back to Portofino Vetta (parking lot) passing by Gaixella or hike down to San Fruttuoso.
 Semaforo Nuovo
ist ein verlassenes Gebäude der italienischen Marine. Es gehoerte zu einem Netzwerk von verschiedenen entlang der Küste verteilten Stationen und diente der Überwachung des Meeres, Schiffsverkehres der Schiff-zu-Festland-Kommunikation, und meteorologische Beobachtungen. Seit 1960 und mit dem technologischen Fortschritt wurde das Netz dieser Stationen schrittweise abgebaut und die verschiedenen Funktionen anderen Organisationen wie der Küstenwache oder der Luftwaffe übertragen.
Semaforo Nuovo (neue Ampel) ist als Ersatz für das am Gipfel des Monte Portofino (610 m ü.M.S.) gelegene Semaforo Vecchio (Alte Ampel), welche wegen der häufig am Gipfel auftretenden Nebel nicht länger für ihren Zweck geeignet war, erbaut worden. Anschließend ist die Struktur der staatlichen Forstwache zugeteilt worden, welche die Restaurierung der beiden Gebäude in den Jahren 1994/95 in die Wege geleitet hat.
Semaforo Nuovo ist von verschiedenen Orten wie Camogli, Ruta, San Rocco, Portofino Vetta, Nozarego, Paraggi und Portofino über die Wanderwege Parco di Portofino zu erreichen.
Kürzester Zugang: Von Portofino Vetta (Parkplatz) kommend über Gaixella wo Ihr das Wanderwegzeichen für Semaforo Nuovo sehen werdet, ca. 1 Stunde. Alternativ koennt Ihr in Gaixella auch hoch in Richtung Semaforo Vecchio gehen und dann von dort aus nach Semaforo Nuovo, rund 1,5 Stunden.
Der Cache:Ist ein kleiner Kunststoff-Behälter, der mit Hilfe des Spoiler-Bildes leicht zu finden sein sollte.
Ausstattung: Wanderschuhe, Trinkwasser
Geniesst die schöne Aussicht auf den Golf von Tigullio vom Aussichtspunkt auf der Rückseite des Gebaeudes. Picknicktische sind auch vorhanden.
Im Anschluss koennt Ihr nach Pietre Strette (ca. 35 min) laufen und dann wieder zurück nach Portofino Vetta gehen über Gaixella oder alternativ hinab nach San Fruttuoso wandern um die dortigen Caches zu suchen.
