Geocache Description:

A virtual cache that's an easy physical find for everyone.
This cache is handicap accessible

While I was taking the Liberty Bell traveller on a tour of downtown Phoenix, I stopped at this spot. It is the anchor from the USS Arizona which currently rests at the bottom of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The anchor was recovered and sent to Arizona and has since been incorporated into a memorial for the victims of that Day of Infamy.

Take a few moments and wander around the area. There are numerous other memorials dedicated to those who lost their lives in the defense of freedom.

Around the base of the anchor are several plaques with the names of those who lost their lives on the USS Arizona. Take a few minutes and read the names. In order to get credit for this cache you must first visit the cache site and then find the one plaque that is facing due east (the plaque faces directly towards the three flag poles, you will be facing west when you are looking at it and the flag poles will be behind you). Email me the name of the crewman on the top left of this plaque. You don't have to wait for an email response from me in order to post your log, you can post your log at the same time you send me the answer. Please do not post the answer here. Logs without an email with the correct answer will be deleted.
