Park at the main car park at Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve. Follow the trail through the Rock Room and up to where you gain great views. On a clear day its worth the steep walk up (a good path up steep steps - wear good footwear). Scottish Natural Heritage have placed this cache. We hope you enjoy your visit.
Near where Hutton rested you will find the cache and its occupant. Trilobites are a prehistoric arthropod (hard shelled creature with multi body parts and jointed legs), fossils of which have been found here and in the local area. These are the same as found in America, and confirmed that Scotland was indeed once part of a larger Euro-American continent.
