Geocache Description:


Fancy a paddle along a beautiful stretch of canal? If the answer is yes then this is the event for you.

Where is the event?
Grand Union Canal,
Just outside Theddingworth,
Leicestershire.

- The event will be a brief flash meeting between 2pm and 2.15pm.
- The listed coordinates will take you to a bridge in a very rural location. This is the launch point for your kayak/ canoe. Just beside the bridge is a small parking area.

 Will there be new caches?
Yes. More than enough to keep anyone entertained for a day. The caches have been pre-approved by a Groundspeak reviewer and I shall ask for them to be published at 9pm the day before the event (to give you ample time to load your GPSr). All of the caches have a terrain rating of '5' and are placed on the canal bank opposite the footpath. The caches are not accessible on foot; you need a boat or the willingness to swim.

 Do I have to be on the water to sign the logbook for the event?
 Yes. The terrain for the event is listed as '5'. To sign the logbook you must be at the listed coordinates, on the water, between the times mentioned above.

 Is there somewhere to eat and drink after the event?
Yes, infact there will be an evening event at the nearby Foxton Locks Inn. This event will be hosted by gladstone8 and is due to begin at 6pm. The code for the evening event is GC4EV1F. During the afternoon event (this one) there will be a barbecue going and you are welcome to a sausage from it.
