Geocache Description:

Another BCDR Bridge.

Similar to the Bridge on Windmill Road (GC44BM5), this fine monument to Victorian building skills still manages to carry the traffic on this tiny country road.

To build a bridge here today would be an achievment.

To have done it in the mid Nineteenth Century with only Horse drawn transport to move Ton after Ton of masonary from God knows where to a windswept field a mile and a half from the nearest civilisation, was a feat and a half!

Remember, no cars, no motorcycles, not even bicycles (The first "Modern bike" didn't appear 'til 1885) so the workers either walked or used horse drawn transport to get to work!! And........It's a mile from Donahadee.........A lot further from everywhere else!!

We have the cheek to gripe about a fifteen minute commute in a warm comfortable car with the radio blaring!!

Guess that's progress.........

Hiding spots at this bridge are at a premium, so, best I could manage is a Nano.

Yes......All these fields and hedges, and I've hidden a Nano!!

The hide probably won't cause to much difficulty, and the use of one finger will reveal the log container, but you will need something to assist in getting the log out to make your mark (A straightened paper clip for instance) You will also need to roll it tightly to return it!!

NB. This BCDR Series is numbered. You may notice some numbers are missing. There are a few bridges that I still haven't figured out any way of hiding Caches on or near for various reasons.......... I haven't given up on them............. and a couple I haven't got to yet!
All in good time!!
