Welcome to L.A. #1 Traditional Cache
havartifreak: Alas, the spot where this cache was hidden got bulldozed to expand a parking lot and the cache was bulldozed with it. :(

A little out of the way spot in Lower Allston on the Lincoln St. Green Strip (basically a weedy hillside that has some rusty sculptures, but we take what we can get in Allston!) The spot was picked by Nathan, my 3-year-old buddy who's just become obsessed with geocaching! The cache is close to the Lincoln St. 66 bus stop. You can probably find on-street parking around. The cache is big enough for small trinkets, and there's a pencil & should be a pencil sharpener.
Lower Allston's name is a little confusing, as "lower" is usually synonymous with "south," and this area is north of Allston Village. It's called "lower Allston" due to its lower elevation than Allston Village. A sleepier, quieter, more residential section of Allston, this neighborhood was cut off from the rest of Allston in the 1960s when they built the Mass Pike. The Green Strip was dedicated in 2009 in an effort to beautify a waste area by putting in a "hybrid urban meadow." It's a nice little area amidst busy streets!
