You can enter the trail at 31.20N - 59.74W where the Trophy Area starts. This is a fairly easy fun walk for most, of course until you reach the base of the mountain. You will first encounter pine trees, cross a creek, and then find an old road that will take you to the true base of the mountain (located .18 miles from the start of the trail). From here you will need to make sure you do not slip on the rocks and leaves. Very steep and rocky! Please be careful.
“Where the Buffalo Roam” is in a green ammo box that is very well identified with Geocache stickers. You will find the following items: 8 digit calculator, small dog bone, eye glass repair kit, 4 pack of AA batteries, army knife key chain, Repel insect block, jumbo size playing cards, Beenie Baby, Stuffed toy frog, 1936 Buffalo Nickel sealed in Air-Tite, 1961 Mexican Peso,
BI-centennial dollar sealed in Air-Tite, and a camera for taking a picture. Please sign the log and use the camera to photo yourself and/or your group (please place camera back in zip-lock bag).
