Geocache Description:


littleblkdog had so much fun hiding caches lately she wanted to leave another ammo can in the woods for you to find. Please be careful to minimize your searching impact. And of course, replace the cache exactly as found. Good luck and enjoy!

To assist in narrowing down the approach, parking coordinates are provided. From the parking area, walk down the left hand side (the side without a sidewalk) of Volmerhausen to Murray Hill and take the White Blazes which will lead you close to the cache. The White Blaze trailhead is about halfway between the parking coordinates and Murray Hill road. Once at the trailhead, take the short but slightly steep hill down the trail and across the small stream. About .25 miles from the trailhead the White Blazes veers up a hill to the left which will put the river on your right. Or you could take the sewer line easement to the right off the White Blazes which despite its name is a nice trail along the river. The easement will be an easier walk with less hills that ends slightly closer to GZ but will be a muddier path.

Another option would be to find Deep Smoke. You could bushwhack from there which would probably be pretty easy in the Winter but not advisable in the fuller growth of summer.

Or you could also use the parking area for the Wincopin access at Savage Park which is also the White Blazes but not until you reach the end of the Yellow Blazes (this will take you over that notorious bridge). Please do not attempt this from the residential roads above the cache. Other than the CA trail to Deep Smoke, there are NO official trails from the roads that would not be trespassing.
