"The Journey" Multi-Cache

This is a no thrills, no gimmick, straight forward 4 stage multi cache that will take you on a nice two and a half mile hike up and around Black Oak Ridge and back down again. Because this one in not about the destination, it’s about “The Journey”. THIS CACHE IS LOCATED ON SGL. PLEASE WEAR REQUIRED ORANGE DURING HUNTING SEASONS.
You will start and finish this trek at Segloch Rd. See the additional way points list below to get you started and guide you along the way. Stage one is located not to far from the start heading up the mountain on an unmarked trail. Stage 2 is a little further up the same trail. Soon after stage two you will break onto an old clear cut with a logging road that will continue up the mountain. Stage 3 can be reached by following the logging road. After stage 3 you will continue up the logging trail until you reach the yellow blazed Horseshoe Trail. Take the trail into the woods at the way point I provided. Follow the trail to within about 300’ of the final. At this point you will need to bushwhack down into the woods for the cache. After you find the final your best bet is to bushwhack south paralleling the mountain for about 400’ which will reconnect you with the Hoarse Shoe Trail. Follow the trail down the mountain to Segloch Rd. The hints are complete spoilers.
