Geocache Description:

Congratulations to Iansdad for FTF.

I have hiked a lot of miles to put this one together.  At each stage of the journey, you will find remains of one type or another, each whispering its own little story or questions as to what it is from.  Some of the stops will take you to places that hold geocaches already. Others are just interesting bumps in the road to earning this smiley. On my journey, I discovered a wide range of hurricane debris, stuffed animals, building materials, big turtle shells (four of them),  bovine baths, antique bottles, building foundations, shacks, tree houses, and even a very weathered book of baseball cards. What remains you will find on your journey, "remains to be seen".

The way I see it, there are two ways to complete this challenge.  Method #1 is of course to wear out some shoe leather (you will find more remains that way).  Method #2 is to learn to use Google Earth. It should be noted that the cache is not at the starting location.  That is just a random spot I picked to start from, that wouldn't affect the placement of future geocaches. The D/T combination is based off the computer skills or shoe leather required to complete this task.

Stage 1: Ole' Smokey - Travel 3847 ft at bearing 34.75 degrees
Stage 2: Tin Roof - Travel 6005 ft at a bearing of 53.10 degrees
Stage 3: Bovine Bath - Travel 1803 ft at a bearing of 294.55 degrees
Stage 4: Foundations - Travel 10,690 ft at a bearing of 245.55 degrees
Stage 5: Ice, Ice, Baby (I think) - Travel 2,916 ft at a bearing of 123.84 degrees.
To check your math, the final point should be 4,475 from Ole' Smokey

The cache's home should be extremely obvious once you get in the area. It is not the decoy sitting on top. Good luck on your journey and bring some good boots!

Updated March 10, 2015: Due to safety concerns from the regrowth of the area, I am now asking you to bring a Sharpie and sign the silver box as a log. I don't want folks digging around under it looking for the original container.   Thanks, Dothenumbers.

P.S. Don't forget a Favorite's Point Please .
