You are Detective Lucas Jackson, of the GCPD. You've just received a call from Skippy, a reporter at the local paper, saying Jane Doe, the secretary of a well-known politician, was missing.
Stage 1: THE SCENE
You pull up to the scene of the crime in your unmarked car. You search the surrounds using every trick you can think of before you finally find your clue. It seems the get-away vehicle has an oil leak. You jump into your car and tear off into the night. As you are driving, you get another call from Skippy. He tells you that Miss Doe had evidence of alien contact, and that she was to meet him before she was kidnapped.
Stage 2: THE CHASE
As you pull out into traffic and turn on your headlights, you can see the silver shining trail left by the kidnappers. You follow this trail halfway across town.
Stage 3: THE VAN
You arrive at the scene, and you can see where the kidnappers have changed vehicles. In your search of the abandoned van, you find a crude map with some coordinates. This must be where the kidnappers are going. If you hurry, you might catch them!
Stage 4: THE DOCKS
Finally you made it! As you search the area, you find a confusing clue. This is just an arrow. As you look off in that direction, you hear the unmistakable sound of a car crash. With nothing to loose, you follow.
Stage 5: THE FIGHT
Here you find a disturbing sight. Still no Jane Doe, but there are signs of a struggle. Someone put up a great fight. One of the kidnappers is unconscious on the ground. There is no use talking to him with the huge gash on his head. You call for an ambulance, handcuff him, and start looking around for your next move.
Stage 6: THE ACCIDENT
As you look at the wrecked car, you see your victim. She has been hurt in the crash, but is able to tell you that the leader took her files, and ran off 'in that direction', pointing off in the distance.
Stage 7: THE SAFE HOUSE
At last, you think you might be getting somewhere! You want to call in the SWAT Team to raid the house, but it would take too long for them to arrive. Busting in the door, you see it would have been pointless anyway. The small, one room house is empty except for some trash. As you sort through the trash, you find evidence of heroin use. Someone on the team is a junkie. Time to go talk to your old pal, Johnny The Junkie.
Stage 8: JOHNNY'S PLACE
Ugh! What a rat hole! Johnny doesn't want to open the door for you, so you kick it in. You find Johnny on 'the nod'. He shot up less than 15 minutes ago. With a thick voice and on the edge of a drug-induced stupor, he says “Gina's Place, only about a half block from here. She knows the guy you're looking for.”
Stage 9: GINA'S PLACE
Gina is a Lady of the Night. She knows everyone you don't want to. She also has an outstanding warrant, so she was happy to cooperate. The man you are looking for is none other than Keyser Söze, international criminal. She doesn't know where he went, but she did see him outside an apartment down by Club 241.
Stage 10: THE APARTMENT
This place is a rat hole and is about a block before Club 241. Looks like the homeless sleep here. There is no Söze, but he was here. The safe is open, and the files were left behind. You found the files about 3 metres South of the red arrow. Miss Doe is in hospital, expecting to make a full recovery.
