Geocache Description:

Buse' Çınar Beach.

This cache is part of the Pirates trail which links our other caches together all the way back to Pirates Trail 1 in the Ancient city of Kaunos at the South end of the lake Koycegiz.

The main village beach of hard sand is packed with sunbeds and umbrellas, and gets very busy throughout the Turkish school holidays from late June to August. Pedalos and kayaks are available for hire at the far end. However, a better choice is the picturesque Çınar beach, best reached by a 45-minute walk along the promenade and through the shady eucalyptus forest and campsite bordering the sea. Served by a very reasonable café, and offering comfortable sunbeds, this pebble beach doesn’t tend to get busy with Turkish holidaymakers and locals until mid-afternoon, and the trek back after a hard day's swimming and sunbathing can be avoided by using the tractor and trailer service back to town
Akyaka.

There are many beautiful houses and villas, built or inspired by Nail Çakirhan, a famous local architect who won the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1983. His Ula-Mugla style of red-roofed, white-washed, two-story houses with ornate pine-timbered eaves and balconies are characteristic of Akyaka.Akyaka has two main areas - upper and lower village. Between the two you can walk down the cobbled streets or take the path through the woods
