Well, not really gem quality, I suppose. But there is a lot of reddish, massive garnet outcropping here. Just not the quality you'd wear on your finger. Interesting, nonetheless, and an unusual find in this area.
I really like this spot and was disappointed to see the original cache archived. So I decided to rejuvenate it. This is a small blip in the desert just far enough away from the neighboring hills to make it independent. Besides the garnet, other interesting aspects include a network of paths someone has built and lined with stones as well as a small flagpole c/w flag topping it..
The container is a small lock & lock with just a bit of room for trinkets, though it is starting off rather stuffed. I have used exactly the same coordinates as the original listing, as well as the same hiding spot. I hope more people can enjoy it just as they did 'Bucket List' for several years. As always, be aware of desert critters and pack yourself some water.
