Geocache Description:

This is an historic cemetery in Westport known as Old Orowaiti Cemetery. It appears to have been used from 1867 to about 1893. Burial records are available for this period. Sadly the grounds are unkempt and many broken headstones are evident. Please ensure the log is double bagged and the cache is placed upright when replacing. NOTE:- Please take care retrieving and replacing this cache as there is now a Cross very close to GZ.
