[ITA] La cache è posizionata sulla cinta esterna della Torre Marchionale di Este.
[ENG] The cache is positioned along the external wall of Este's Torre Marchionale.
[ITA] La campagna estense nel medioevo era sorvegliata da cinque torrette la quali servivano per la difesa degli strategici nodi fluviali e per l'avvistamento di nemici, intrusi o visitatori.
L'unica torre rimasta intatta nella zona è la Torre Marchionale, posta a Sud-Ovest di Este lungo il fiume Frassine. Risalente al XI secolo, è stata restaurata alcuni anni fa e può essere visitata la domenica mattina.
[ENG] In the Middle Ages, the countryside around Este was guarded by five fortified towers built to protect the strategic positions along rivers and for the sighting of enemies, intruders or visitors.
The only remaining tower is the Torre Marchionale, located South-West of Este along the Frassine river. Dating back to the eleventh century, it has been restored a few years ago and can be visited on Sunday mornings.
