Nearby is a small cafe, that has undergone many renovations, name changes and owners over the past 15 years. I've got to admit, while I've driven by countless times we've never stopping in for a meal! I added the boat required attribute, because you could pull the boat up along here, and grab the cache while boating too. Bring a PEN!!!
Nearly everytime we pass, there is a semi or motor home pulled in to this widespot for a road side rest. I picked up this snazzy container, at the new outdoor store in West Kelowna. This location is also a deer crossing, I've seen many deer hit on the road and nearly collided with a few. So take it easy along this stretch of road! There is a large pull off, so make sure you are well of the highway, lots of room for RV's and semi's too. A decent place to even overnight, if you get tired driving. A quick park and grab, snow will not affect this find, so a perfect one for those cold days when a long jaunt up a steep hill is too much. The container is waterproof, so all you need to do is keep the log dry! Cache may be found at night, if you have a flashlight!
