Regular sized Traditional Cache, on a wonderful walk along the coast.
Complete Walk North-South: ca. 30-40 min
Equipment: hiking boots or other other stable footwear, BYOP
This Cache lies near an intersting coastal path, which connects the two towns Playa San Juan and Alcala.
The former fishing village Alcala with it's small harbor is located at the northern end of this path, which winds along the edge of the banana plantations and along the pure and rough coastline of the atlantic sea. Short of the popular resort Playa San Juan, which attracts many guests with its beautiful beach at the harbour, lies hidden between the plantations the tiny village Fonsalia, consisting of only one small street of houses. At this point follow the path right through the village, and afterwards again turn over to the coast. Soon you will reach the seafront and promenade of Playa San Juan.
If you start from Alcala, you will find the access to the path in extension of the "Calle Virgin De Candelaria" at the southern end of the town. Parking is possible in the surrounding alleys.
For the start from the south near Playa San Juan you will find in the list of Waypoints a possible parking area north of the town near the village Fonsalia (the local fishermen use to park their cars here, too).

Der Cache liegt am Rande eines interessanten Wanderweges, der als Fußweg zwischen den Orten Playa San Juan und Alcala begangen werden kann.
Das Fischerdorf Alcala mit seinem kleinen Hafen liegt im Norden dieses Pfades, der sich am Rand der Bananenplantagen an der rauhen und unverfälschten Atlantikküste entlangschlängelt. Kurz vor dem beliebten Badeort Playa San Juan, der mit seinem schönen Badestrand am Hafen viele Gäste anlockt, liegt versteckt zwischen den Bananenfeldern das winzige Dörfchen Fonsalia, was nur aus einem kurzen Straßenzug besteht. An dieser Stelle folgt man dem Weg kurz durch die Stadt, um dann wieder zur Küste abzubiegen und gleich danach auf Playa San Juans Strandpromenade empfangen zu werden.
Wer von Alcala aus startet, kann den Einstieg über die Verlängerung der "Calle Virgin De Candelaria" am südlichen Ende der Stadt direkt am Meer entlang finden. Parkplätze für Autos finden sich in den umliegenden Gassen.
Für den Start von Playa San Juan aus ist in den Waypoints ein möglicher Parkplatz nahe dem Dörfchen Fonsalia nördlich von Playa San Juan markiert (hier stellen auch die heimischen Angler gern ihre Autos ab).
