The Turnworth Circuit # 17
The Turnworth Circuit is a series of 22 caches of varying sizes and types, hidden away to add interest to Cachers young and old!
The series is set in the beautiful countryside around the hills, woods and tracks of the small village of Turnworth and Ringmoor Settlement. The total distance is approximately 5 miles with varied terrain. Good footwear (Wellies for the little ones) is advised due to some areas getting boggy after rain or in the winter.
Grazing animals may well be found on parts of ‘Turnworth Down’ & ‘Ringmoor Settlement’ between #8 & #14. There are also some steep but short hill sections depending on which way round you walk and we feel that these add character to the series! There is a facts sheet at #11 giving more interesting information about the 130 acre nature reserve.
We have placed some Caches in locations that will permit Cache & Dash by car, however we’ve purposely designed the route as a series and we feel that you will appreciate it more if completed in one go! Why not grab the coordinates for the ‘Turnworth Church Micro’ on your way past? It fits nicely on the end of this series, without giving too much away!
Our “Little Sleep Walker” gets really excited when treasure hunting, so we’ve tried to stock the larger cache containers with swaps to start this series off. It would be great if you could trade fairly? Take a pen/pencil/tweezers for the nanos and micros – some have tiny pencils but these may go missing.
I’ve placed reflective markers very close to some (Not All) of the Cache Hides for Night Caching and will maintain this if and when feedback is received.
Thanks to the National Trust for allowing me to incorporate ‘Turnworth Down’ & ‘Ringmoor Settlement’ it has added great interest to this series.
