Geocache Description:

The Eschol Park Sports Complex was designed and built in the 1980s as a waterway to prevent local flooding. Over the years we have seen the entire fields covered in water to the height of the various club houses that accompany each of the fields.  Since its inception the fields have added batting cages, gym and play equipment that are all often in use. On early weekend mornings you can be lucky to even catch the local self-defence group training hard.

The weekends are always filled with the summer sounds of cricket players shouting ‘HOWZAT’.   In winter the fields are peppered with soccer and rugby league players, so stealth may be needed on weekends.

Also, bring your joggers and go for a run around the entire three fields, the distance around is exactly 1.7kms and is an easy run.

There is parking at the field and it’s just a quick run across to the GZ. Parking in the street nearest to the GZ is extremely limited, so the sporting field’s carpark is your best bet.

We are very local to the cache so if someone says hello, it could be us.

The area is sadly lacking in geocaches, so we’re hoping that this will be the first of many we hope to place in the Eschol Park/Eagle Vale/Raby/St Andrews region.

Congrats to Team Booo, Booo's Dad and Booo Booo for the FTF. We so wanted to meet you guys, but we were away GCing. Maybe next time!
