Ancient “Blubb”
The Messum Krater was formed approximately 130 Million years ago .
Henno Martin discovered the Messum Crater in 1939, the Namibian remainder of a gigantic volcanic eruption that happened before Africa and South America broke apart. This eruption is thought to have been the single largest explosive volcanic eruption in Earth's history. Interesting is, that scientists have discovered, that identical lava stones, that occur in the Messum Crater, have been found in South America.

Standing at the cache location, it seems like you are standing on a fossilized foam bath. The formation of the caves and holes will remind you of bursted bubbles. Located in the center of the crater, this was most probably the last “blubb”.
